[Welcome continued...]

On the so-called 'material' level, we know [through our own science] that we are all made up of the same Cosmic DNA - the building blocks of all life as we perceive it. Essentially we are made up of Stardust! Everything in the Universe is made up of this Cosmic DNA - the elements that are birthed through the stars and create life. This is no small matter or coincidence. This cosmic connection is quite profound. We are connected with everything in the Universe through our DNA. Furthermore, we ARE everything, including the Divine Source of All. That can be very difficult to wrap our physical mind around. Our mind is 'keeper of the veil'- of the misunderstanding, the "illusion" so-to-speak, that we are simply human beings in individual bodies separate from everyone and everything else. The Absolute Truth is that 'no man is truly an island' unto himself. Our True state, which is evidenced not only by what our living mystics and masters have told us since earliest recorded times, but also by what science has uncovered and will continue to uncover about the nature of Reality and our interconnection with all that IS.

To understand and know this truth is not a matter of doing anything. It is a matter of perception, awareness, and Realizing [uncovering, rediscovering, remembering etc.] our Beingness, our true Self. For some of us a profound mystical experience reveals this is no uncertain terms. For others, it is a matter of faith. As science moves into alignment with what the mystics, masters and others have understood and known, there will be even more of a paradigm shift as our consciousness reflects All as truly connected, not merely on this most basic mundane level, but on all levels. I Am that I Am, we are the One Infinte Source of Beingness; we are the "I" of I Am. We are "It". We are ONE. As the modern master Lester Levenson once quipped before an impromptu speech, "Should I talk about you? Or talk about me? Then I remembered, what's the difference?!"

I [mu] came to this understanding through a series of 'mystical' experiences that began many years ago. These experiences are what I believe are known as 'satori' experiences in Zen. I came away from the second experience literally speechless and unable to express or communicate what I had experienced, as is typical of such experiences. D.T. Suzuki spoke of this direct mystical experience as, "the most startling event that could ever happen in the realm of human consciousness ... upsetting every form of standardized experience." It took me many years to process and integrate the experience[s] into my being - and it is still an ongoing process, which truthfully, is at times a struggle. The mind is quite literally "blown" - and without any mind-altering substances in my case! I do not see or experience this life the same way since the first 'experience' even though I was primed for it from very early in my life when I was compelled to contemplate God, and other great 'mysteries' such as the theory of Infinity, and the meaning of life. I was only eight years old, but as the questions haunted me, I intuitively knew there was something just under the surface of my awareness; my consciousness that I was missing or not seeing about it all. Not until I had the first 'experience', was that intuition confirmed for me. As Swami Muktananda says, once the mystical path is taken, there is no turning back. Once the state of Self [or no-self] is experienced, forget about life as you knew it before ever being the same. Those who have not experienced Self cannot 'see' it, so it is fruitless to explain or debate It with anyone. It is all perfection exactly as it is anyway.

I know I am not alone in having had a deep desire to share the experience with others, but it does in many ways seem impossible. It is beyond language. Our brains just don't have the equipment for it. Suzuki says, "The contradiction so puzzling to the ordinary way of thinking comes from the fact that we have to use language to communicate our inner experience which in its very nature transcends linguistics." Still we try.

What I know absolutely is that there is no separation in Reality; there is no 'other' or 'other than'; and no purpose or reason for perpetuating any thoughts, ideals, purposes or activities that serve that thinking. I realize it is all perfect as it is on the Absolute level, and on the relative level, I believe it serves humanity and our planet to remember that there is 'Truth' in ALL things [beliefs, religions, philosophies, worldviews etc.] and that Ultimately, there really is no 'other'.

One of the ways this has the potential to manifest is that as more people remember, uncover, or recognize Selfhood, the energy of this/their/our experience in totality will radically shift. There will just naturally be less and less people who desire or 'need' to view 'others' as 'other', as threats, or as the source of perceived injustices or problems. Where this shift is taking us is a Divine Mystery that We are Creating at this very moment.

It is with this vision and hope that I have developed OneTemple.org - that it may serve this Awareness of Self - of Oneness; that I may offer sources [articles, books, and other resources] that support this beautiful Beingness; that it be a forum for visitors to share experiences; and for others an opportunity to investigate, perhaps remember, experience, or Realize the Divine Essence of who they/We really are.

OneTemple.org is a project of love that will be continuing to evolve over time as we add more information, features and content. If you resonate with and/or enjoy what you experience here, please pass the word along and return again soon.

With profound gratitude, peace and love, thank you for visiting this little oasis on the web.

Distortion of Unity is Unnecessary

Posted by mu

Millions upon millions of people are currently experiencing and viewing life through the prism that distorts the Reality of who they/we really are. It is a way of amusing self, chosen [consciously or subconsciously] by the person as an "alternative to understanding the Unity that binds All things."

Most humans distort Self/Being/Oneness/Unity in a variety of ways. Viewing 'other than', or different levels or hierarchies of being, etc. are just a couple of ways used to attempt to separate the inseparable Isness that we truly are.

Duality is simply a distortion of the human mind. It is a choice made by those who wish to see and experience life in dualistic terms. It is, one could say, pure folly; a conditioned habit; needing to mirror self; a way of creating drama or excitement, when one is unaware of who they really are, among other things.

The Truth and experience of Self is the most 'exciting' experience there IS; the most peaceful, fulfilling, joyful state, and it is available right here, right now. It cannot be created, nor destroyed by distorting Unity or anything else. It is Changeless. Once experienced/Realized, there simply is no desire or need for distortion, even if old habits are hard to break, the underlying awareness of Selfhood and immediate change in consciousness is irrevocably known and seen. Distortion of Unity is seen for what it is--completely unnecessary.

The following quote from The Law of One Material says it well:

"In truth there is no right or wrong. There is no polarity for all will be, as you would say, reconciled at some point in your dance through the mind/body/spirit complex, which you amuse yourself by distorting in various ways at this time. The distortion is not in any case necessary. It is chosen by each of you as an alternative to understanding the complete unity of thought which binds all things. You are not speaking of similar or somewhat like entities or things. You are everything, every being, every emotion, every event, every situation. You are Unity. You are Infinity. You are Love/Light, Light/Love. You are. This is the Law of One."
